Abstract

Shifts in lifestyle and food consumption patterns of the community have an influence on the nutritional status of the community. Along with the development of science and technology, people are faced with an unhealthy lifestyle, people tend to prefer and like the types of practical and fast food, soft drinks that are widely circulated in the market or contemporary drinks that are trending in society, lack of exercise, unbalanced diet, and much more. Based on the results of observations made, it shows that in the Jl. Budi Mulia RT 04 RW 07, Pademangan, North Jakarta that teenagers in this area consume high levels of fast food. One way for optimal health is to regulate the food consumed by paying attention to good nutritional intake. then our community service team will provide training on making "Nugget Processed Creations from Banana Hearts as an Alternative for Healthy Snacks" and obtained data that: 1. As many as 17 people or 85% answered that they had never made nuggets from banana hearts before, 2. as many as 19 people or 95% answered that they would make nuggets from banana hearts after receiving training, 3. as many as 15 people or 75% answered that they would make nuggets from banana hearts after receiving training as a business opportunity.

Abstract

Permasalahan yang terdapat pada Sekolah Dasar Negeri Muktijaya 03 adalah banyak wali murid yang terkena dampak ekonomi akibat pandemi COVID-19. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, maka dibutuhkan suatu kegiatan yang dapat memberikan peluang bisnis atau membantu memenuhi salah satu kebutuhan pangan masyarakat berupa lauk ikan air tawar, khususnya lele, untuk pemenuhan protein hewani dan pengadaan sayuran, seperti kangkung, bayam, caisim, pakcoy, dan lain-lain, dan dimungkinkan bisa dijadikan peluang bisnis dalam skala yang lebih besar sebagai pendapatan tambahan di era pandemi COVID-19 ini. Adanya PKM pembuatan hidroponik sederhana dan ternak lele menjadi solusi yang baik untuk permasalahan di era pandemi ini. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat berjalan dengan baik dilihat dari guru dan kepala sekolah yang antusias dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan dan memotivasi untuk mempraktikkan hidroponik sederhana dan ternak lele dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Penyuluhan dan pelatihan ini dapat menambah pendapatan di era pandemi ini.

Abstract

Biodiversity in the environment around communities and schools is an important resource asset for human life as well as in school learning activities. One of the biodiversity that exists in the environment around the human area, namely animals belonging to the category of amphibians and reptiles (herpetofauna groups). The population of herpetofauna animals in Indonesia tends to decline continuously, due to various factors such as habitat loss and other pressures or disturbances. The existence of herpetofauna in agricultural, plantation and residential areas actually has a very strategic role in the balance of nature. Conservation of herpetofauna animals must be introduced to the community, especially the next generation around the area. One of the community groups (the younger generation) that has great potential in herpetofauna conservation activities, namely elementary school students (SD). Conservation education for the next generation (SD students) can be well implemented through good learning methods and media by their teachers. The use of herpetofauna media in teaching science, environment or local content is still minimal. Knowledge of hepetofauna conservation for teachers is still relatively low. The utilization and availability of science or environmental learning media at the elementary school level is still relatively lacking.

Abstract

Produk pangan sehat (healthy food) sudah menjadi perhatian masyarakat semenjak kesadaran hidup sehat meningkat dan obat-obatan herbal dimodernisasi. Salah satu jenis pangan fungsional yang saat ini banyak diteliti dan dikembangkan adalah jahe. Jahe (Zingiber officinale) termasuk  suku zingiberaceae dengan kategori penggunaan sebagai rempah-rempah dan terbukti secara ilmiah memiliki fungsi sebagai antioksidan, antikanker, dan penambah imunitas tubuh. Namun, penggunaan jahe secara luas sebagai healthy food masih kurang inovatif sehingga belum dapat dikonsumsi oleh semua jenis usia. Terlebih di masa pandemi, yang menuntut setiap keluarga mampu meningkatkan imunitas tubuh. Berdasarkan permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh mitra, maka tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk menyelaraskan pengetahuan masyarakat tentang manfaat jahe dan inovasi pengolahan jahe dalam bentuk jelly jahe sehingga dapat dengan mudah dinikmati. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dilakukan dalam tiga tahapan yaitu tahap persiapan, tahap pelaksanaan, dan tahap pelaporan. Tahap persiapan bersifat administratif dan negosiasi. Tahap pelaksanaan dilakukan secara blended learning dikarenakan DKI Jakarta masih berstatus PPKM level 2. Tahap pelaporan dilaksanakan dua arah, yaitu kepada LPPM Unindra dalam bentuk tersurat serta ketua PKK Mawar Kramat Jati dalam bentuk lisan dan tersurat. Hasil menunjukkan adanya pemahaman mendalam mengenai manfaat jahe dan inovasi pengolahan jahe menjadi jelly jahe.

Abstract

Paper generally uses wood as the main raw material, which is increasingly expensive, so it requires alternative raw materials such as rice husks. Banyasin Regency is a food producer and provides high by-products (rice husks), so the researchers aim to use rice husks into paper. The method used in this study includes display data (presentation of data) the results of the utilization of rice husks, and the conclusion (conclusion) of the resulting paper. The results obtained from the use of rice husk into paper in assisting the community of the Muara Telang District, Banyasin Regency, received positive responses from the community, which was indicated by the attitude of the residents in managing the husks into paper and the paper produced had characteristics, was bright brown in color, flexible, and had a husk motif. The paper obtained from this activity is suitable to be developed as a calligraphy and other craft materials.

Abstract

Dairy consumption in Indonesia is still low compared to other countries. One way to increase it by dairy processing into other forms such as yogurt. Yogurt has high nutritional and health benefits. Therefore, this yogurt-making counseling activity was carried out to increase the consumption of healthy food for the community, especially those made from dairy. The purpose of this activity is to improve people knowledge about its benefits  and provide new skills to make their own yogurt that is more affordable and preferred. The target of the activity was the members of the Khotmul Qur-an Ta'lim Council and MT Yaumul Jumuah RT 03 RW 03 in Kukusan Village, Beji District, Depok. Based on the counseling activities showed that the participants were enthusiastic about the counseling held because it provided new knowledge and skills. And participants also understood the benefits and how to make yogurt at home as an alternative to healthy food.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia is not over yet. In Jakarta, the transmission rate of COVID-19 is still very high. At this time people are asked to work from home, this encourages an increase in online shopping where every item sent will be wrapped in plastic. It also encourages increased use of plastic and generates plastic waste. The purpose of this study was to determine the impact of PPKM on plastic waste in Jakarta. This research was carried out on the community in Jakarta online. The method used is descriptive qualitative. In this case, researchers want to analyze plastic waste resulting from the impact of PPKM, namely working from home which encourages increased online shopping. The subjects of this research are Jakarta residents who work from home and do online shopping and get 100 respondents. The results of this study found that within one month there was a decrease from the data 1-5 times in one month by 6%, and an increase in data 6 -10, 11-15 times, 16-20 times, 21-25 times and 26-30 times in a month are 3%, 1%, 2%, 1%, and 1%, respectively, while for those who do not spend online and 30 times have fixed results. Other results show that 49% of online shopping items are wrapped in plastic. plastic as a wrapping material that causes the production of plastic waste in household waste in DKI Jakarta because 49% of the packaging materials for goods, both packages and other shipments, use plastic materials.
